The Eminence R-I Board of Education met on March 27, 2023, and voted to employ Mr. David Russell as the High School Principal for the 2023-24 school year. Mr. Russell has been a classroom teacher at Van Buren and East Carter for nine combined years and an Administrator at Success for seven years.
David also worked in the timber industry earlier in his life and serves as a pastor. David and his wife, Shelia, have adult children and many, many grandchildren that keep their lives busy outside of school.
Mr. Russell will be on campus to meet students and staff later this Spring and begin the transition process over the summer before beginning official duties on August 1, 2023.
