Elementary Principal - Application Deadline March 4, 2026

Description: The Eminence R-1 School District is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Elementary School Principal (PreK-6) for the 2026-2027 academic year.  The successful candidate must hold appropriate Missouri certification and demonstrate a strong commitment to instructional leadership, student achievement, and continuous school improvement.

The Elementary Principal serves as the instructional leader of the building and is responsible for advancing high-quality teaching and learning aligned with the district's CSIP and the expectations of the Missouri Literacy Initiative.  The principal will lead the implementation of evidence-based literacy practices, support structured literacy instruction, and ensure alignment of curriculum, assessment, and intervention systems to improve student outcomes in reading and other core academic areas.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills; the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and families; and the capacity to motivate and inspire a culture of high expectations and academic excellence.

Other Information:  Eminence R-1 offers small class sizes and student-focused approach to the academic day.  The district operates on a 4-day school week, with Fridays typically not in session.  Eminence R-1 also provides free childcare for employees' children prior to preschool age.
