Eminence is nestled in the heart of the Ozarks where the Current and Jacks Fork Rivers come together. There are opportunities for horseback riding, canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing, etc. The town’s source of pride is the school with hundreds of parents in attendance for the PTO festival, parent-teacher conferences, and other events. MAP scores are high, but have dropped slightly each of the last 4 years. The elementary is technology heavy with smartboards and computers in each room, two mobile laptop labs, and Renaissance Place access. The staff is happy, friendly, and close-knit. This would be a wonderful place to make a big difference for some kids who really need a boost.

Notice: The Eminence R-I School District is taking quotes for firewood to use in the new wood-burning furnaces installed during the biomass project. The wood must be good quality firewood, 24" in length, and 4 to 8 inches in diameter. In addition, the wood should have 30% moisture content or less. The wood will be loaded on trailers provided by the school and delivered to the school as needed. For additional information, and to place a quote for the wood and related services, please contact Mr. James at the Elementary at 573-226-3281, ext 100. The selection of the wood provider will be decided by October 10th, 2011.

Substitute bus drivers needed.

Seeking substitute teachers for elementary and high school. 60 college hours required by state. RETURNING SUBSTITUTES NEED TO CONTACT CHERYL IN ORDER TO COMPLETE REQUIRED E-VERIFY PAPERWORK.
